A tenosynovitis keeps me from sewing and quilting. I bandaged it myself. Looks crazy, but helps a bit to avoid wrong motion. Funny -- it's the left hand. Although I've been working with my right hand, I obviously twisted the left hand while holding the piece I'm working on. A consequence of obsessive quilting. Take care!

Oh, sorry, I hope it gets better in not too long a time. i have carpal tunnel sydrome, and the yoga position downward facing dog pretty much guards against the symptoms
I have the same problem, it's my left hand but I'm right handed. What I discovered is that when I sit at the computer I hold my left hand in a twisted way in my lap, under the keyboard. I think that is what is causing my problem.
well i also had this problem and after trying lots of treatment advice for several years i had to resort to surgery. left hand. the surgeon said, 'well, you might have to give up quilting'. HA i say. i am also right handed.
i wish you days of feeling better and hope your holiday gifts can get finished.
but if not. then you will send your friends and family good cheer and lots of love.
I am sending good thoughts for your healing
: )
Hope you're better soon.
creativity has its price. but its ok.
I use special gloves that really help when my hands start acting up. It is discouraging though isn't it? Two of mysisters have had to have their thumbs rebuilt and with the way I love to sew I'm sure I'm next in line. As Jude says...creativity certainly does have it's price! (It's worth it though)
