Although the head (lower part of picture) part is not attached yet, this is a prospect of the quilt in the final stage. What is left to be done: striped part to be quilted, backing fabric to be chosen, probably no batting, then basting, binding and backside quilting -- one stitch per inch or 1 1/2", the yarn between the stitches will be kept inside the quilt. I have no idea what fabric the reverse will end up with. OMG, while I finish one, others do 10 of them...

Oho! Looks like a flying carpet!
Your quilt is absolutly wonderful. I wish I could still use my hands to do as much handwork as you. It isn't how fast a quilt is made that is important.
Eva, this quilt is beautiful! the colors and there is a timelessness about it that I love too. ...fairy tale dreaming shadowy and mysterious while sleeping under this one...
quick quilts don't look anything like this or have fairy tales in them. : )
happy new year!!
Looks like a shaman would sleep under this for help with visions.
Not true, you made that in an amazing short time, considering it is all hand stitched!
It is so so so beautiful - the colors shine, it is magic with all those creatures, it is like from another land, far away, a wonderland! You are creating a real treasure here Eva, a very artful piece with meaning and character!!!
The dreams under it must be wonderful, yes and the visions coming easily...
Magnificent!
Susan, I'll try that very soon.
I just love the colours, Eva.
That would have taken me years to make, and never so well.
It's inspiring.
This one is worth ten others. GORGEOUS!! and yes, magical.
ditto
It is a feast for the eyes...the dreams will visit...
Have to tell you a secret: I wanted to do something subdued. Now what happened... haha. The same as ever.
It does look like a magic carpet...just wonderful Eva.
Must be a feeling of achievment being so close to the finish now.

@ both Suzans: Funny dreams indeed.
My o my Eva: if this is "subdued colours" I want to see your "bright"..;-)...!!
I think you did a wonderful ánd quick job with this Reptile-quilt ! (my work is hardly bigger than about 70 cm, or most of the time even less !)
this is one of the most beautiful
creations i have ever seen in my
life...it is ecstatic~
It's been fascinating watching this quilt come together. Thank you for sharing.
