Like a shell or a tree, my quilts grow slowly, starting in the middle. No finishing of a top alltogether; instead, strips are being "wrapped" around the center until the desired size is reached. In the end, there should be a backing, but that's the most difficult part – the reptile quilt is still waiting to be finished. :-(

..a truly delightful piece!...
...so many little things to look at :-)
this is amazing and beautiful.
I don't think there's any race to the finish, is there? Your quilts are all so lovely. Your beautiful fabrics dance together: some waltz, others tango!

As always, it's a beauty. Starting in the middle is a nice way to work; I used to do that and in fact, Miss Emma's quilt started in the middle, which you will see when I finally get it bound and posted.
I have not read any blogs for weeks but am glad to be back on track - you've made amazing progress on this piece since I last looked.

Well it is well worth the wait. Love the texture and the movement in this piece.
