Our doll house is finished. A new print over the sofa, Kandinsky in Paris 1935. Can modernism be nostalgic? In a way yes. Having tea in the new surrounding. Now I hope to have the time to be creative again. But now we have a problem: We had a jungle of big green plants which we quite liked, but now we found out we are much happier without most of them! 4 of  5 are sitting on the balcony now, and we are not taking them in. One tall ficus will do. Would you be able to throw plants away?
I'm 63 today. Went out for lunch with Yael's lovely tiger backpack. Mind my new singlasses -- no, funglasses for 5$. Can you see the stars on the frame?

Happy Birthday Eva!!!
Love the sunglasses - yes, I can see the stars! - and Yael's backpack is fabulous!
I just ditched two orchids that hadn't performed in a few years. It was difficult, but I managed to do it. Actually, they had been castoffs from my neighbor, so I had given them a good home for quite some time! I think that often we just have to move on! Ditch 'em!!!

Oh how nice the renewal of the space, and the Kandinsky surely not nostalgic, more like an elegant elegy.
But, won't you miss the greenery in the dark days of Winter? I can't throw plants out, I'm a gardener and have to find them homes when they become unsuitable for my space, need more light...they are living cells after all. I have a magnificent three foot high cactus that would definitely flourish better with more light and I've been looking for a local (NYC) home for it for over a year! None the less, a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, and many more!!!

Argh - teaching all weekend and missed your birthday:-(. Obviously, it was a glamorous one.
You look smashing, dahling - and not a day over 62.

Love the red walls. Yes, I can throw out plants because I have a black thumb and they look at me and wither. Even watering them with coffee is not helping, lately.

Wishing you the best year ever.
love and hugs,
R.

love your glasses and your kandinsky. where i live, if you have something you no longer want, just putting it out on the curb will find takers. maybe some of your neighbors would like your plants. i couldn't throw them out...maybe in the compost pile if you have one.
