This is the latest piece in the Ocean Life series, gouache on black paper. Is it going too far in the direction of kitsch? It has a kind of woodcut touch which I quite like. I could do it as a lino cut, using printing ink instead of lino cut ink, because if it is resistant to water, I can color the print afterwards.

Teeming seems to be the operative word here.
I like woodcuts too. It is very nice.
Yes, they do look like woodcuts/lino cuts. I think they are beautiful, love all the intricate patterns in the backgrounds and your fish is wonderful.

...it would take me ages to cut that one in lino!...
I love this and I think it would make a gorgeous lino block print!
Be still my heart!
I LOVE this.
This is a very beautiful and uplifting picture-it appeals to the child in me. I love the way you have put your colours together-I want to cuddle the turtle!! Really lovelyx
This is not going too far. It's lovely just the way it is.
No no no no noooo! Not going too far! It is magical. I can't even imagine doing a lino block of this. Reduction, or several blocks? Interesting thought. A big challenge but it would be so worth it!
I like this one very much. I don't think it is too much. It makes me happy to look at it. It does have a bit of a woodblock feel to it.
Simply smashing. You mean it's NOT a woodblock print ?? LOL
Hi Eva, I think this is just gorgeous! Love the color, and the sort of African/South American feel. Michele
This is spectacular! I love everything about it!
All those colors make my heart sing!
