What could be more suitable for this beautiful 1st of May than a walk in Maiendorf, which means something like May Village? 
In front of the red house, you can see my husband, who was eager to take a walk, whereas I kept him up by taking photographs at every corner...The region is a valley left behind by a melting glacier. And it is a famous site where a stone age hunters' camp (12.000 years old) was excavated not too far away in Ahrensburg after which this late
glacial era was named.
