Winter is getting on our nerves. Today it started snowing again. I took this picture at night which explains the weird colors. Aperture: 8 sec.
So we went to the travel agency today and booked. We have been reading hotel descriptions and travellers' ratings on the internet for a week and looking up places and pictures.
First we were interested in Malta and the stone age temples. But what we read about the hotels was less attractive. So we shifted our aim, and I recommended Turkey which my husband had not been too interested in.
I was there twice in 1992, and I was enchanted by the Turkish lifestyle.
Sometimes I think I did not fall in love with my first husband but with his lifestyle.
This fancy remained after divorce.
The offers convinced J.
Hope the holidays will convince him even more. Two weeks, all inclusive, 1940,-- $ for the two of us.
Something to be anticipating.
I started quilting again. The hand bandage prevents wrong twists of my wrist. I keep working on the quilt for my husband.

All hail the glove/bandage. sounds like a good day.
So pleased you can stitch/quilt again (not that I havent been enjoying your paintings!).
I love the quilt you are making for your husband. Have you decided yet whether to use wool batting or not?
It is interesting to see how you have made all of the strips ready to stitch together. I have been contemplating how to piece mine...I like your idea.
Enjoy your holiday. I would love to visit Turkey, the architecture and colour appeals to me. Maybe next visit overseas???

Wool batting seems so difficult, I guess I'll rather have a synthetic material. The comments then were a great help for my plans.
I am glad that you can quilt again! I smiled at the remark you made about your first husband. I had one like that too. He took me to wonderful places. I still like him for that. :) I didn't get to Turkey--but I bet I'd like it! I love your two photos together--snow and pool. I like the pool BEST
I've just enjoyed a superb break from the winter cold and gloom....so I hope you enjoy yours as much as I did.
Glad that your hand is a bit better...
...don't overdo it though...

I am sure you will and your husband will have an awesome vacation.
Hopefully you will share it with us here on your blog.
I'm glad your hand is better. Looks like a wonderful place for a vacation. It's so much fun to look forward to things like that.
ahhhhhhhhhhh: you are stitching again! YAYYYYY
Turkey sounds great right about now! It is a rainy and cold day here....I'd prefer snow over this 40 degrees, wind and rain. UGH! When do you leave???
xo
We'll be travelling in early summer, quite some time to go.
How wonderful! Hope you two have a joyous time!! Thank you so much for your offer to help me on my website. Fortunately Dorian went right to a folder hidden away and there tucked safely in among the other files was my website folder. He had saved it for me in case I forgot. What a sweety. Now to finish the mess....
Holidays in Turkey are culturally very different, mainly because of the traditions and customs of the country's many regions and its historical diversity, and of course, the language itself.
