... the teeth of the biting cold on our balcony rail this morning. Around the middle of December, temperatures were even lower, going down to 5° F. Last night, we had about 22°.
J hates the cold, I cannot inspire him to take a walk with me, although the sun comes out for short moments.
Art is reduced to water color doodlings of this kind:
WIP, stolen from Klee, started as a steal from Kandinsky. Something naive, a childrens book illustration without purpose.
Size: about 4x4"
I miss quilting! But my hand still hurts after almost 4 weeks. Getting better slowly. If not, I have to see the doc after all.
Just learnt what "blue moon" means. I was lucky this time! The moon was mild on me. Very often, full moon causes health problems, mostly when the weather is dry. This time, it was on my poor husband...
(I don't like full moon)
P.S. His stomach is better now after mint tea and good meals.

this painting is very quilty.
i like jude's comment and agree with it. very quilty. poor J. hope he's better soon. it is cold and snowy here. forecast for the entire weekend with high winds as well. we'll stay in and slow cook comfort foods. i'll knit and such.
another beautiful painting!
when I first saw your picture, I thought that it was fabric and not a painting
I'm glad that J is feeling better, but I also wish your hand was better.
xo
That paianting would make a beautiful little quilt or an idea as a starting point. Do you do any sewing by machine? My hands hurt after finishing the binding, but I do all of the rest of the sewing by machine and that is kind on the hands.
That doodle is quite charming, and the fish look very thoughtful, as if taking it all in.
I have an old Pfaff sewing machine, but no place to put it up. It is in the cellar.
Everyone else has already said it but this is a wonderful water color that looks like a prelude to a quilt. Hope your hand is better soon!
..I think the painting looks like a quilt that's waiting to be made!.....
Lovely watercolour - how big is it?
Look after that hand...and each other.

your painting would make a great textile piece. Vibrant colours...
I'm in love with the watercolor painting!
Here's to hoping that you get full use of your hand back as early into 2010 as possible!
