Autumn walk

The Eurasian jay seems to be looking for something under the chestnut tree -- is it chestnuts?
A quiet walk near the place where we live.
The little lake has the purpose to regulate
the water level of the river Osterbek.
Meadow saffron in one of the gardens
The nights are cold now, close to freezing.

The wing edges of the bird are remarkable.

Such beautiful photos Eva!!! We have this bird here too and I love it! Oh, and now I know what are meadow saffrons!
Here it is still very hot during the days but a little bit cooler at night, and first rain already forgotten...
