Favourite Fabrics I

My favourite fabric ever is a print cloth imitating an Indonesian batik. I've been googling up and down to find similar prints. Original batiks have become very expensive.
I integrated this into the bird quilt. No birds on this one. It is a night piece. The birds are asleep.

i really find that regular quilting fabrics are lacking something, and real batiks are really expensive. i have talked my brother into sourcing some unique fabrics from indonesia. i will send you some samples...
this is wonderful by the way.

Hope your bat is close to this section. Love the color combination in this one and the way that you did the yellow/blue.

One of my reasons for playing with dye and printing is because I want to have interesting fabrics at a reasonable price.

Deb, this is not my merit, the cloth is one piece which was printed as you see it.

The batik looks so striking on the dark brown background...no need to embellish.

Wonderful piece. All newer fabrics are very expensive these days.
