This year's carnations are partly sock wool. When I run out of a hue, i take the nearest possible, this creates an antique look. I combine it with a double sawtooth.
You are a resourceful woman Eva. That impresses me and makes me think of ways I can use what I have rather then going out to purchase it. Beautiful piece.

I love these tapestry pieces Eva - where do you get the pattern graphs from?
So pretty. I do like the look that creates. Good idea!
My favorite so far! The colors work together very well.
Chris, I just start stitching without a pattern.
I like the rules for enforcing irregularity. There is something so funny and rigorous at the same time. Looks like a Scottish thistle.
i do this a lot with color, it really add dimension to color choices. even black and white.
Great idea! Very striking colors.

Beautiful piece.
Embroidery linen is something I have to buy. But if there wasn't any, I'd do some crewel embroidery which doesn't need a grid.
Lovely - I don't know much about needle working, but I do know what I like! ;)
Thanks Eva, I love your tapestry, lovely colour combinations
