This Year's Carnations

This year's carnations are partly sock wool. When I run out of a hue, i take the nearest possible, this creates an antique look. I combine it with a double sawtooth.

I love these tapestry pieces Eva - where do you get the pattern graphs from?

My favorite so far! The colors work together very well.

Chris, I just start stitching without a pattern.

I like the rules for enforcing irregularity. There is something so funny and rigorous at the same time. Looks like a Scottish thistle.

You are a resourceful woman Eva. That impresses me and makes me think of ways I can use what I have rather then going out to purchase it.
Beautiful piece.

Embroidery linen is something I have to buy. But if there wasn't any, I'd do some crewel embroidery which doesn't need a grid.
