A step into the unknown

Very often in a life as an artist we may come to road crossings without sign. A trodden path leads somewhere; we have decided to leave them, but we can never be sure about the meaning of what we do, neither about the result. And this is our choice.
I fused this thing. I can rip off the printed parts and make new compositions; I'm just trying to follow the idea of concentric squares. What do you think can be done to improve -- or rather: save -- this experiment?
I found that for the first time I started struggling with art. I used to drop what did not work. Let me tell you frankly: I don't like this thing at all. It is completely different from what I imagined.

Flowers for the Ladies: Peonies, Poppies, Pansies
We took a walk today. The flowers are overwhelming, all kinds with "p": peonies, pansies, poppies, and piris.

may be it is just too much of one color.

It is hard to help since this is one of those things you need to keep moving around. My first thought is that it is too "random?" Perhaps taking the tigers and putting one in the gap you have in the first border and then matching that at the bottom in the same border with the other one.
A center medallion would be good either with embroidery or quilting might fill that area and connect it to the outer edges.

It just may be time to play with it for a bit.

Love love love your photos. The poppies are beautiful and the composition in your photos is perfect. We are enjoying the same flowers at the same time.

Layer on top with windows, and decide which parts will show through? I got that idea from Jude. maybe start with a big piece of paper and cut bits out, move it around. In any case, the pieces need to relate to each other in some way. Also, maybe try a solid red to unite what you have down already.

For me, it is too busy. I don't know where to look first.

Isn't it amazing, all the flowers blooming everywhere?

Ladies, thank you so much for your thoughts. This is very helpful! I ripped off the parts altogether and will start a new habit: to think before acting.

Well...sometimes the cart before the horse works. Just not always.

Chiming in a day late and a dollar short - but you already know there is too much going on. I look forward to seeing its reincarnation!
