It is real fun to make them. The strings are firmly twisted wool threads which, when laid double and set free, know by themselves how to become fringes. I hold them with my teeth while twisting them. A research on the question who created this piece will find rich samples of DNA. Then I cut one of my polymere necklaces open and use the beads. Anyone wanting beads?

Good to be able to hear the witch coming. although perhaps at that point it is already too late...
Wonderful, beautiful, gorgeous fringe.
2 tricks I use to twist fringe (I don't want anyone to have MY DNA!), 1. Use the bobbin winder on the sewing machine putting the yarns between the bobbin and the post. 2. Tie the yarns to the beater on a portable electric miser and turn it on.
I love the look of the fringe...very elegant for a witch.
Thanks Kay for the alternative fringe making methods, my teeth aren't that strong.
The fringe is great! Part of her spell casting?
The beads are a perfect touch. The witch will be elegantly turned out.
loving the fringe/beautiful beads
These fringes look beautiful. How's your witchgown doing?

Fabulous fringe! And I love the cowrie shells.
I like the DNA idea myself! The beads are wonderful and the gown is really going to be a masterpiece (or mistresspiece?).
