Crazy City

Today we intended to buy Christmas presents downtown. Hamburg isn't such a big city, "only" 2 Million inhabitants. The business mall was closed for cars and busses, just pedestrians on the lane. Man, it was crowded! Crisis? What crisis?
And people were nervous. I wonder if they all spent money or just went out for window shopping. My husband asked me to go home with him after buying one present, he had had a rough week. He ordered more presents online in the cosy quietude of home.

Beautiful pics of Hamburg! I love the second one especially! Shopping is difficult this year....I may be wrong, but I can't help but blame Bush for it all! So sad.

The roads were empty today - nobody seemed to be out shopping here, either. And everything is on sale - huge discounts.
